I have to admit to being skeptical that a software-driven keyboard would do me any good whatsoever when I first saw the SPB keyboard on PocketGear. Now, I've put my expensive Infra-red external keyboard up for sale because I can't see carrying around something extra when the SPB full-screen keyboard does it all, and so easily! You can still use the little keyboard if you just have a couple of things to put in, or you can go to the full-screen keyboard, and type forever! The keyboard itself suggests words that you might be typing, and if what is suggested is right, you just hit the right arrow, and it puts that word in plus a space, and you're ready for the next word. I was amazed at how easy it was to get used to using this little keyboard. Again, I wasn't so sure I would like it as I'm one of those old-fashioned typers who learned on a manual keyboard and can type 120 words a minute with no mistakes so I thought the difference in key size might not be something I liked. I was dead wrong. I've become a two-thumbed typer, and I love it that way. You can easily balance your PDA in your fingers of both hands, and type away with your thumbs at a really fast speed. It's great for journaling, notes, tasks, or anything that requires more than just a few numbers or letters to type. Thanks for making my life so much easier!

A great way to enter average to large amounts of text. I hate always taking my bluetooth keyboard around and this program solved it. Regonition is great and the program has functioned flawlessly.

The Keyboard is a great tool for my PPC. I am getting a little older, and I never seem to have my reading glasses. The Program does work with your fingers, but It works well with the stylus also. I liked it so well I bought their clock, and I am looking at their file explorer...So Far all the Spb applications have worked well with my i-Mate PDA2. Excellent product, I will be looking for other Spb applications in the future.Spb is on the right tract for the older geeks like me....

This program makes my PDA useful in meetings and real life. It's only practical use prior to this was a calendar, alarm clock, and phone book. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!! Now I can use my two thumbs for something useful.

This is by far the best application I have ever bought for my PDA. It has significantly increased the use and effectivity of my PDA. I now write everything from letters, e-mails, taking notes during meetings etc. This application truly makes the PDA a PDA and I no longer have to carry my laptop around.

I like this software - so I bought it! It's atractive and makes inputting text easier than the tiny keyboard provided on most machines. You have to accept that you will only see the complete text entered once you have finished typing and I have to say that you'd have to have the hands and thumbs of a five year old to use it in the fashion portrayed in the promo photo! I use my stylus.

great! I bought it only 5 minutes after I installed the trial version! very easy for typing...

Fantastic - by far the fastest way to enter text - found the "simple" overlay the best due to the larger key spacing - even if it doesn't look as attractive as the others - had no hesitation in regestering - well done to the spb team !

You will never regret trying this mini keyboard. It is A+++++. It is much better than the expensive keyboard (hardware). Give it a trial and you will love it. I love it...Thanks to the spb team.

SPB deserves 5-Stars/Editor's Choice Award although PocketGear gave it to somebody who doesn't offer trial. SPB fits my need, not fancy, simple but effective - just gives what I need, not more, not less. Competitors should learn from SPB.

I like using a two thumb keyboard method for typing. The full screen makes it easy to enter notes while in meetings. Questions were quickly answered by the developer. A nice product!

WOW! After using this for 5 minutes, I have to have it!!!!
It's like having a potable keyboard for on tenth the cost........with no storage hassles.....A GREAT piece of programming!!

This is a great idea, though your success with it is kind of dependant on the sensitivity of your screen and how fat your thumbs are. My screen is not so sensitive so I tend to have lots of errors, which makes it not much faster than the small keyboard and stylus. I also wish it integrated with the programs better (more like the organic input methods). For instance, in order to type within other text (or see what text your are typing within), you have to select the text in the application first, then call up the keyboard. Still, a nice program that may work better as I get used to it and I may buy it.

I just installed it. It works perfectly and help a lot !! For me, it's a must for all PocketPC users. I type texts 2 or 3 times faster as with the stylus ! Many Thanks for this great product !

This is quite good. By the way where is the "£" key?
Henry Schlepper wrote at 09/07/2002
Tried this program for fun. Found the keys too small... too many typing errors, besides you don't really need this program. Pocketpc comes with the block recognizer which still is the coolest and fastest way for input on a handheld! (except may for the voice recorder)

It seems like a very nice program , just 1 problem - I hope that my fingers don't ruin the ipaq screen when I use this keyboard.

I´m brazilian and had the same problem with accent. This is a fault.
Be owner of a small island. Build it up enjoying excellent graphics (qVGA Portrait, qVGA Square and VGA supported), nice sounds and original game concept. Enjoy 3 mini-games included!
