Given the good quality of other SPB software, I registered this one but find that it actually isn't very good on some basic functionality. For example. entering only a new credit card account with a current balance. the software assumes it is not money owing, but money you have! (this is shown if you do a net worth report, it shows that you are worth the current balance on the credit card). As well, you can only enter 'deposit' or 'payment' when spending funds. In the credit card example you must enter a deposit in order for the amount owing on your CC to increase. It would be nice to have other options like 'charge' for a CC, and 'withdrawal'. It seems, then, that the various account types are simply labels and not functionally different from a straight cheque register Also, the quick entry program is not intuitive, and is therefore difficult to use--it's easier to just boot the main program I haven't looked yet, but there must be better ones out there: ones that get the basic functions right and where there are real differences between accounts. You can specify a 'liability' account (but not credit card and liability for the same account. (You also cannot enter a negative amount in an account)

Currently using iPaq hx2755 (not listed in menu), on WM2003SE v 1.10.09. I avoid synchronizing my desktop with my handheld in terms of Desktop Quicken, as I use the two applications for totally different purposes. SPB Finance is the best one that fits my needs for achieving my "independence" from the desktop for a financial tracking application. The built in reports are constantly being improved. While the gui design is average, in so far as all PPC applications go, it's stability is excellent. In short, I highly recommend that if you are in the market to purchase a Financial Tool for your handheld, that you consider this application first before you buy. Good luck.

I moved over to Spb QE after finding its functionality and feel more closely aligned to Quicken's PC-based product than Quicken's Pocket PC offering. The product also boasts superior data analysis tools. Synchronisation with Quicken works faultlessly and I like the way it can import/export raw QIF files to the product.

I've used previous version of this program and I did not really like the synchronization... Now, the new synchronization works perfectly! It is fast and it synchronizes the data in the background. I would give this program 6 stars!
