I can't get this program to work properly, as the main website (www.debugsoft.com) is no longer reachable. Can someone tell me what the direct METAR url is? I can pick up the data from that by configuring the program. Thanks.

METAR is just to get the weather. But adding a x-wind calculator is for General Aviation pilots. REAL pilots (i.e. B-747)look at the EFIS tube, or maybe the PROG page and then crank in "an appropriate" amount of correction. Like REAL pilot sex, we crank in "an appropriate amount."

When I'm drinking and flying, I have enough trouble just keeping the plane in the air, let alone stop playing solitaire on my handheld long enough to check out if I'm flying into a thunderstorm.

I am a Space Shuttle Captain,and this crap program alsmost caused me to crash three times! It was scary! there I was, inverted on short final, 30 knots under appraoch speed. I couldn't get the stylus back into the little hole on top of my IPAQ. Perhaps NASA can improve our training to overcome such situations.
