The GPSengine displays location data transferred from a connected GPS receiver and write it to a sequential file. So the program can be used as a tool for receiving GPS data on a Pocket PC and allows the user to read these data fluently from a file instead from the port directly. This will be helpfull, if you want to develop GPS application, but don't want to handle the communication.
The GPSengine provides information about: World time, present Latitude, Longitude, and Altitude and write it line-by-line into a user-defined file, what means, that you can fetch the information in your own programs without managing the GPS-strings and the serial port. Enable the tool and it will works in the background in an own task.
The software is totally free and will be the base for all further products of arecon.de, like a flight information system. In the package you will find a short description of using the output file by a visual basic procedure.
