The brightest, most focused light possible on a BlackBerry comes from the video camera light. You can activate this light just by using the video camera, but it normally shuts off after a brief timeout period if you're not recording. VideoFlashlight activates the video camera with one click and keeps the light on so you can see for as long as you need to. Once you close the video recorder, all light timeouts are restored to normal, i.e. the backlight will time out normally and the video recorder will behave normally if started directly. * PLEASE NOTICE * One of the reviews mentioned the backlight staying on after using this app. This problem has now been SOLVED and no longer happens. For one-touch light, you will need to have the video recorder options set with the light on by default. When you want to use the video recorder without the light, just press the spacebar and the light will turn off the spacebar toggles between On, Auto, and Off lighting modes. This is also useful to 'pause' and 'resume' the flashlight with instant response. You don't have to set the light on by default to use Video Flashlight, only if you want one-touch activation instead of 2-click activation. If the video recorder is configured not to have the light on by default, when you activate Video Flashlight you will need to press Space after the recorder comes up to activate the light. When turning the light off, if you press Escape you return to the home screen, or if you press Close all lights turn off, including the backlight. So if you are in the dark, you can choose to turn all light off with one touch instead of having the home screen light up and stay on until it times out.
